"When I arrive at Mercury Lounge in the East Village, there’s a line down the block and a sign on the front door of the bar that says “tonight’s show: SOLD OUT”. When the doors open, I make my way to the front of the venue. Australian native, Dan Krochmal, opens the show. His angelic voice accompanied by an acoustic guitar he plays himself, makes me thankful for arriving to the show early. He plays a set of a few covers and a lot of originals, and gets everybody excited for the rest of the night with his tunes and witty on stage banter." - Stitched Sound

Australian-born indie rock singer-songwriter Dan Krochmal has spent over 1,200 hours on stage across 400 shows in PA, NJ, and NY since mid-2021. With a wide, emotive vocal range, vivid storytelling, and soulful guitar work, his live performances are both electrifying and deeply personal.
While still living in Melbourne, Dan was selected as one of ten artists worldwide to perform at the 17th Annual Jeff Buckley Tribute Concert in Chicago. He embarked on a solo tour of the U.S., and subsequently moved to NYC, where he played renowned venues like Mercury Lounge, Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, and Pianos—including sold-out shows opening for Reeve Carney (Hadestown, House of Gucchi, Penny Dreadful) and Fatai.
In 2016, he was featured in Sony Music’s You & I documentary about Jeff Buckley’s early years, representing the next generation of artists influenced by his music.
Following the Parkland high school massacre in 2018, Krochmal released Pride Before The Fall, a single addressing gun violence. A live video of the song, performed in Times Square, gained over 31,000 views in days, leading to an invitation to perform at the March For Our Lives rally on Long Island in support of student-led protests.
In 2020, Dan was privately scouted for American Idol and advanced through two producer rounds before performing for Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan in California.
In June 2024, he played a two-hour set for international delegates at the United Nations, followed by a full-band festival performance at Musikfest that August.
Dan has released three studio albums, including Avenues (2020), which features drummer Lenny “The Ox” Reece (Demi Lovato, Kimbra, DJ Premier) and bassist David Cutler (Iggy Azalea, SZA). Since late 2024, he has been releasing singles and music videos from his upcoming fourth album, Perfect View—a heavier, rock-driven record blending the indie sounds of his youth with the raw energy of ’90s alternative. Perfect View drops on February 21, 2025.
Singles from the album include:
1. "Restart"
2. "Apologists"
3. "Control"
5. “Mother of Invention"
6. “Don't Keep The Pain"
7. ”Quiet Desperation"
8. “Nobody”
